My hair, especially my ends, are a little dry and fried from hot tools and no matter how much i condition it, nothing works. I just ordered a 5-piece set of the product wen on tv because i heard it works. But i wanted to get some feed back on people who may have tried it. What do you think of it, and will it help my problem?

I’ve used it since February of this year and I LOVE it. My hair is much healthier because of it. It’s also more manageable and makes my curls look marvelous. Yes, I deviated from Wen by using shampoo and the shampoo ended up tearing up my hair. My hair was brittle, dry, hard to comb, frizzy, and hard to manage after using shampoo. I had to use Wen again to restore my moisture and make my hair more manageable. I also deviated from Wen again when I wanted to try a soap that many people were raving about. The soap had all natural ingredients and many people loved using it in their hair. I used it in my hair and it turned my hair into a super duper frizz ball afterward – a super frizz afro, haha. I ended up using Wen the next day just to get rid of all the frizz – that’s how bad the frizz was.
Then there was this tragic episode with honey. I put honey in my hair two night straight because I wanted to make my hair shiny. It made my hair nice and shiny, but it made some parts of my hair dry to the point that it wouldn’t absorb moisture. It also turned my hair frizzy and poofy and my curls disappeared. By this time I was running low on Wen and wanted to save it for the winter months when my hair would really need it (it’s expensive and I can barely afford). Instead of using Wen I was cowashing (washing with conditioner) and using a sulfate-free organic shampoo that’s less harsh than regular shampoo. Well, after this episode, I resorted back to Wen, because it’s the only thing that has proven to restore moisture to my hair. Right after I started using it I noticed changes in those areas that weren’t absorbing moisture – now they were. So Wen helped a lot to restore moisture to my hair. Since then, I’ve started using Wen regularly again as a leave-in. I don’t wash with it as much because I’m running low.
My hair is naturally dry, super curly, thick, and coarse, and it can easily frizz with the wrong products. Wen helps my hair retain moisture and makes it easier to manage, comb, and style. It significantly reduces my frizz, and makes my hair super soft. I don’t know if the black girl with the super curly hair is on his TV commercials, but she’s one of his model/clients when he appears on QVC and she has a million and one itty bitty curls on her head. My hair looks like her’s when I use Wen, and no other product that I’ve tried makes it look like that.
I’ve tried all the formulas except Cucumber Aloe. The Almond Mint smells the best, but it’s not moisturizing enough for my hair. When I used it it made my hair look dense and it made it nice and curly. The menthol in the product also made it tingle afterward. After I sent back the Almond Mint and got my money back, I went to QVC and bought the 3-piece moisturizing set with Lavender, Tea Tree, and Fig. I don’t like Lavender and I’m not sure that it has much of an effect on my hair except getting it clean and keeping it from drying out. Well, it does help keep my hair healthy overall, but I don’t like it much. Tea Tree is somewhat moisturizing and I’ve noticed nice curls afterward, but not the type of curls I saw with the Almond Mint. Fig is the most moisturizing and after using that consistently I began to see my hair retain moisture. My hair is naturally dry so it needs plenty of moisture to stay healthy. It doesn’t define my curls as much as the other formulas. I’ve also combined them for a super moisturizing effect, which was nice.
The good thing about Wen is that you can send it back for your full money back, minus shipping and handling if you don’t like it, even if the bottles are empty (assuming they haven’t changed their guarantee since the beginning of the year). It’s cheaper to buy Wen from QVC rather than the official Chazdean.com website. Or, if you want to sample the almond mint and many of the products like the styling creme and re moist then it’s cheaper to buy from wenhaircare.com .
